Re: Olivier (Russian) salad
from LeprechaunLily on 06/08/2019 01:10 AMWe never add beetroots, but we add some kind of smoked meat and/or diced boiled chicken breasts. Some people add sour cream, but I don't like that. I tried a version with sweet corn instead of potatoes, also great.

Re: Plum dumplings, sweet, soft and crunchy
from LeprechaunLily on 05/21/2019 09:10 PMWhen my brother was a toddler, we had to hide these dumplings from him, he would eat so much he would get sick .
1 kg potatoes
2 eggs
2 spoonfuls sunflower seed oil
A little bit of salt
400 gr all-purpose flower
20-ish pitless plums (freash or frozen)
breadcrumbs (panko)
Sunflower seed oil
Boil, peel, and mash potatoes. Add two spoonfuls of oil, eggs and flour. Mix well and make dumplings, wrap a plum in every dumpling. Add a pinch of salt to boiling water and boil the dumplings for about 15 minutes.
Fry breadcrumbs in hot oil, add sugar to taste and roll dumplings in them. Yummy!
